The Uplink

The data carousel passes data for transmission to the modulator.

The modulator communicates with the data carousel using TCP/IP.

The modulated data is then broadcast to the satellite and on to the micro terminals.

Each micro terminal has a unique address which enables the selection of micro terminals for reception of the data.

An uplink is the transmission from a satellite transmitter, on earth, to the satellite out in space.
